Tate Collective Producers is a programme for 15-25 year-olds run at all four Tate galleries. Young people get hands-on, practical insights behind the scenes, work with Tate staff, influence the programme for young visitors or gain experience in organising events. It helps build news skills as well as boost self-esteem. Occassionally people move on to paid work at Tate.
On its website Tate also offers student resources including career advice, insights into creative jobs and coursework support.
With these programmes Tate contributes value to Knowledge & Skills dimension of wellbeing. We describe this dimension as 'Providing opportunities and experiences to gain knowledge and skills, learn something new or use existing knowledge in a different context'. Aspects of building self esteem, creating a sense of purpose and career development opportunities also contribute to other dimensions such as Subjective Wellbeing and Work & Volunteering.
