Museums, sustainability & wellbeing: International Museum Day 2023
We are thrilled that International Museum Day 2023 celebrates Museums, Sustainability and Wellbeing in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Through this theme ICOM reaffirms that “all museums have a role to play in shaping and creating sustainable futures, and they can do this through educational programmes, exhibitions, community outreach and research”.
We believe museums are contributing this, and a lot more, to wellbeing, and that this can be measured.
