Art Flow is a new wellbeing programme at MCA, the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia in Sydney, to create space for reflection and to refresh the mind. In bookable 45-minute sessions people are invited to contemplate art and their emotional response in a calm environment, supported by artist educators.
QWB Lab co-founder Sabine had the opportunity to experience one of the sessions in front of this amazing artwork. Rather than focusing on the artist and the details of the work, a gallery educator helped the group to explore the emotions that the artwork evoked in us and consider how it connected to our own lives. It opened a different way to experience art and the gallery.
